Pushkin’s is a must-visit for gluten-free eaters in the city. This exclusively wheat/gluten and dairy-free dedicated bakery guarantees that none of their baked goods will come in contact with wheat, gluten or dairy while in their facility. Their menu includes a variety of gluten-free choices, including baked goods from cookies to muffins, in addition to a full sandwich menu (breakfast sandwiches included!). This Midtown staple has everything you’ll need for a tasty gluten-free breakfast or lunch.
Much like their bakery, Pushkin’s Restaurants is entirely gluten-free and 100 percent all natural. Their brunch menu includes a variety of options, including baked goods, main egg-centric dishes, sandwiches, salads, and bowls. They even have a completely vegan menu available as well! The only thing you won’t find at Pushkin’s? You guessed it — gluten.

EASTsmf is truly one of the best farm-to-table eateries in the area. This locally owned East Sacramento gem serves a variety of gluten-free options on their menu comprised of local, seasonal, organic, non-GMO ingredients. Whether you’re there for brunch, lunch, or dinner — EASTsmf has plenty of gluten-free options in store.

Mikuni is a local chain with several locations throughout the region. Each restaurant has a chic interior and serves their fresh and flavorful menu with an array of sushi options. They make things extra simple for gluten-free eaters by providing a specific Gluten Free menu at each of their locations. The items on this menu are either gluten-free as prepared or are modified to be gluten-free.
The beauty of Pieology is the ability to create your own personalized pizza, ingredient by ingredient — and that includes the crust! Simply choose the gluten-free crust, then top your pie with whatever unique combination you can imagine. Serving seasonally inspired menus with ingredients at their peak of freshness, Seasons 52 is an excellent source for health-conscious eaters in the city. Visit their Arden Fair location and ask for their Gluten Sensitive Menu, which includes everything you’ll need from the appetizer to dessert.

Nectar Cafe in Auburn prepares delicious and creative vegetarian fare made from scratch daily. Their food is in-season, mostly organic, and locally sourced. Most of their plates can be made gluten-free with a simple adjustment, such as ordering gluten-free bread for a sandwich or a gluten-free wrap for a bowl! They also have a number of delicious soups and salads, providing plenty of healthy options to choose from.
You wouldn’t expect an eatery specializing in pizza to cater to gluten-free eaters, but Paesanos has plenty of gluten-free options. In fact, they can make virtually anything on their menu free of gluten, as you can request their housemade gluten-free pizza dough for the pizza of your choice. You can even choose a gluten-free baguette for your sandwich, or simply opt for a salad instead.
