Renew your license

California Bureau of Real Estate (CalBRE) sales agents and brokers are required to renew their licenses every four years. You may submit your renewal up to 90 days prior to your expiration date. As a licensed sales agent or broker, you are required to complete 45 hours of continuing education (CE) every four years as part of your license renewal.

Sales agents who have two or more years of experience in their job and want to become brokers can pursue additional training. Broker courses cover some of the same topics that sales agent courses cover, such as taxes and real estate finance.
