The quiet neighborhood of Pocket sits adjacent to the community of Greenhaven in the southwestern area of Sacramento. Centrally located near Interstate 5, Pocket (also known as The Pocket) gets its name from its proximity to a semi-circular “pocket” bend in the Sacramento River.

Pocket consists of many enclaves, branching off Pocket Road, a quiet thoroughfare defining the area. Neighborhoods range from middle class homes to posh gated communities. The Little Pocket Neighborhood Association’s boundaries are Piedmont Drive to the North, 35th Street and Riverside to the South, Interstate 5 on the East, and the Sacramento River to the West.
